- Long ago the people used to set their own plot of Flax. When it used to be fully grown its blossom used to be a blue flower the same as the flower of the vetches. Then the people used to pull it and clean it well and sheaf it out. If they wanted to measure it they used to measure it with a pottle. The pottle was a timber vessel more the shape of a mug than anything but it was wider in the top than in the bottom. When it would be dried well they used to make bundles of it and soak it in bogs and put rocks up on it to keep it pressed down well. It used be left there until it was well soaked and it used to be brought in to dry then. Then it used be spread out(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
