- Long ago when people used to get a cut they would gather a fistful of cobwebs and they would put them into the cut. Then they would close it and after a day or two it would heal up and would get better instantly. Another cure is if a horse got a sore or a cut, the people used to get a weed called the 'gosadan' and squeeze its juice out. They they would pout it into the cut and it would immediately go. If a boil breaks, they used to make a poultice of soap and crushed sugar and leave it on for the night. If you had a sore throat they would put a stockingfull of hot bran up to it and it would heal.
