- One day a woman was making a churn. In the same house there lived a tailor named Mr. ODonoghue, [?]Rosacue, Glenflesk. He was making as suit of clothes on the table. A woman came in to light her pipe. She lit it and went away. When she was gone the tailor took a coal of fire and threw it into the cream tub, no sooner had he done this - when the woman came in again - her pipe had quenched & she wanted t relight it. She did so and left again and the tailor got up and did as before. This continued for four or five rounds, and at last the woman decided to go home having failed to light her pipe.
When the churn was made, the woman took off the cover to find an empty churn. She started screaming & scolding. The tailor told her she should not have let the woman take out the fire.
