    About fourteen miles from here in the townland of Lisdrumturk there is a fort supposed to be fourth largest in Ireland and under it there is a castle guarded by a pure white cat with a black spot on its heart. Anyone who takes the first black lamb they see of the May morning and pour its blood round the fort will see the cat start licking the blood. If this person is able to shoot the cat in the black spot in its heart the castle will be his and if he is unable to shoot the cat in the spot the cat will kill him. There is a small lake behind the fort and every seven years a large animal resembling a horse tumbles through the lake which becomes covered with foam.
