Once upon a time a man called Tom Mc Willis lived in Drumleek North, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan.
He would get his wife to make him a cake of oaten bread and he would walk to Dublin and buy a hundred weight of leather and carry it home. He made boots out of the leather and sold the boots. He kept as much as bought another hundred weight of leather and drank the rest of the money. This was the way in which he spent his life.
