- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)by the same fort, one early morning, witnessed a great military display in the form of the fairies on horseback, going through their drill. He was frightened, and, returned to the house from which he came, and remained there for the night.
Following this experience, he went home by another route, and thus avoided the fort or "Cnocan Dubh", and the "Wee people".
The forts as believed by the country folk, are the work of the fairies, and for that reason neither these nor "lone bushes" would under any circumstances be interfered with by the owners of the farms upon which they are situated.
