    As I went walking and for pleasure did move,

    Likewise Drumaharbour and sweet Ballyleck,
    No more in the greenwood my horn I will sound
    And I now bid adieu to the cry of the hound.
    Farewell to my true love I'll be seen,
    On the Blackwater's banks in the hazels so green,
    I will sport round Tyholland while life doth remain
    And with my own beagles I'll follow the game.
