   Most of these live in various parts of ditches. There are many ways of catching birds. Some people make traps from a riddle with its rim resting on a piece of stick, which has twine attached. Another way is by putting glue on a piece of stick with bread on it. When the bird lands on the stick she sticks to it. Another method of catching birds is by the trap-cage. You put a bird in the cage and when she sings other birds land on the top of the cage which fall under them, and then the birds fall into the cage and are trapped.

   Swallows are small blue-black birds, with forked tails.
