    the old man, "if in an hours time you do not find it you will be turned into stone." The searched and searched but all in vain and they were turned into stone. Then one of the ducks which the youngest brother had saved came flying through the air, dived into the pond and brought up the ring. Then the stone images were changed back to life and all were grateful to the brothers.
