- Long ago one day Jesus Christ and the Blessed Virgin were walking along the road. The day was very wild. They saw a cow boy sitting in a field. The Blessed Virgin told him to give her a thorn off a bush to tie her cloak. But he did not pretend to hear her. They went away and they came to a forge. They went in and saw a smith working hard making a pair of horse shoes. The Blessed Virgin told him her story. Then the smith got a piece of corn and made a nice(continues on next page)
