    stood where John O'Loughlin's house now is. I don't think the old people can tell any stories like what used to be told in olden times.
    Houses were more numerous in days gone by, because the ruins of them are seen in many places throughout the townland.
    It is said that many people emigrated to America and were never heard of afterwards.
    The townland is not mentioned in any song or saying. The biggest part of the land is good fertile land. There are a few streams in my home district, but there are no stories connected with them.
