  1. People used the bark of the oak tree, to cure a sore throat as well as many other herbs.
    First the bark is taken of the tree. It is boiled then until the juice is out of it. It is left up then until it gets cool. When it is cold it should be gargled.
    The bark of the oak tree was used for dyeing clothes long ago. This made a nice dye called "saffron".
