- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)tied them together and hung them up to dry. When they were dry they took them down and they peeled them but they left a little bit of the peel on the end of them to stick down in the candle stick. Then they soaked them in grease and they tied them together and hung them up to dry and they used them as they wanted them.
They had candle sticks for them also and they were a foot and a half long. they were made of tin but they were very few.
- About sixty years ago rush candles were made in my district. The people would first get about twenty rushes and peel the green skin off(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
