From the dread appendicitis ye will have a reprieve.
When your organs are oiled with the Fourpenny Beef.
You will have no rheumatism nor an ache nor a pain
Nor a scab nor a boil not a varicose vain.
You wont dread the Spring nor the fall of the leaf,
When you are well fortified with the Fourpenny Beef.
You will put out your nicks,
You will put on your old clothes.
You will gain weight every day till you cant see your toes.
You will shout up "De Valera three cheers for you chief.
When you are well fortified with is "Fourpenny Beef"
So here's to our leader who gave us cheap meat.
In his pants, or the Dail may he ne'er want a seat.
So dont be downhearted though life it is brief.
Rejoice and eat lots of his "Fourpenny Beef"
