The cows are sometimes tied with a 'running knot' on one end of the rope, and another 'knot' a few feet away. The names for tying are 'head tying' and 'foot tying' Often there is an emblem of religion in the cow-house. When calling hens to their food you say 'tsk' 'tsk', when calling ducks you say 'wheat''wheat', when calling geese you say 'bad' bad', when calling turkeys you say 'gib' 'gib' when calling cows to be milked, you often say 'prugy' 'prugy' and when calling pigs to their food, you say 'deco' 'doc'. when you want to drive pigs away, you say 'smoke' 'smoke' and when driving away some fowls like hens, you say 'shark''shark'. When you put down a clutch of eggs to hatch, if your chicken turns out all the cocks, you will have great luck the whole year round, but if they are all pullets you will have no luck.
