- Many old customs still remain with us which are reminiscent of pagan Ireland. Most pagan habits and customs were abolhised but St. Patrick tolerated a few of the more important ones but gave the people a new Chrisstian motive for their continuation.
In connection with marriages some days were considered lucky and others unlucky for their celebration.
