  1. There are names on some of the fields in my townland. These names were put on the fields in order that when we are talking about them we can distinguish them.
    "Longstone" is the name on a certain field. In the field is the grave of King Dathai which is marked by a tall stone over six feet in length.
    "Meenán" is a name on a field which had a number of spring wells.
    "Dillons" which got its name from a family called Dillon who lived there some hundred years ago.
    "Longfield" which is a long and narrow field.
    "Hillfield" which is very high on one side and very low on the other side.
