Tim Ryan used to stay here four nights. During these four nights he used to travel the townsland north, south, east and west. At night time he used compose songs and poems. In those days he was called a poor scholar. In a village in this parish there were two publics. One had a low thatchea house, too low to put a licence sign over the door.
