- According to Ned Fortune, Mr Sweetman bought Annaghs out of the Court of Chancery and resided at Annaghs from 1855 - 1881. He also went bankrupt although at sometime he is supposed to have promised the parish priest in Rosbercon that he would go half in a new church. The priest mustn't have felt sure of the other half for he didn't accept the generous offer - which was probably all to the good.
- At about the time the Annaghs property had dwindled a good deal, though bigger than it is now and than the Annaghs on the Warburton map. A boundary wall of stone, mud or clay stretched from Dan Doolans (now Whelan) at the extreme end of Shambo along the Old Crach Road - passed the school and on to Shea's Avenue(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
