- In every part of the country there is Folklore about every part. In Sheestown St. Fiacre is talked about by young and old. Sheestown is about three miles from Kilkenny. St. Fiacre lived in a cave on the banks of the Nore which flows through the townland. He is said to have lived on fish which he used to catch in the river Nore, and nuts fell from the trees. One day he was out walking at Sheestown and some rude boys were jibing at him. He said nothing only walked over to the wall and put his knee against a large flag stone and put his ten fingers into another one.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
