When Tolls the Chapel Bell.
The summer sun is climbing
O'er the brow of Slievenamon:
How calm and beautiful the scene
His morning beams fall on!
The mists that rise from Anner's stream,
And sparkling dewy dale
Bedeck the green and purple slopes
As with a bridal veil. The verdant fields and golden grain,
Like patchwork, here and there Outlined by wild-rose hedges, spread
From Cappagh on to Clare.
Then bee and bird and lowing herd,
And craiking of machines,
With swish of scythe, and anvil clink,
Enliven all the scene. But fairer far than sunlit mist,(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Faisnéiseoir
