    Local Song
There is a castle in Tinnehinch,
Where Butler fought his foes sir,
    There's nothing fighting there today
Except the jacks and crows sir,
All day and night you'll hear them fight.
    Because those noisy squeelers
Don't care a straw for English law
    Or the Graiguenamanagh peelers
William O Leary also composed this poem about Butler's Castle. He was a native of Graignamanagh.
Transcribed by a member of our volunteer transcription project.
