- FIELDS"Páirc an tSéipéil" -This field is the property of Mr Barron Ballyogan Graig. It got it's name "The Church Field" because there was a church built there long ago. A long time after the church had been in ruins, men who ploughed the field found a bell, and being left on the road a party of tinkers passing carried it off and sold it in Dublin. It is considered to be the second best bell in the city.
"Páirc Glas"got it's name because it is the greenest field on Mr Barron's farm.
"Bualyan field" is on Mr. Fogarty's farm Ballymurphy. Local tradition explains how it got it's name. One day a leipreachan went into Mr. Fogarty's(continues on next page)- Collector
