   boy emigrated to Australia, and many a time he had played along with my Grand-Father, and Grand-Uncles in the old fort and around the great "lone bush".
   After he was away some time he had written a letter to my Geat Grand-father that he had dreamt three nights in succession that a crock of gold lay hidden under a large flat stone about six feet from the surface under the shadow of the old "lone bush".
   My Great Grand-father would not allow any one to dig for this crock of gold as he would not interfere with the fairies or good people, because they had their dwellings cheifly in the forts in those days.
   On Clones fair day in the month of August my Grand-father's parents were going to the fair. Leaving their three sons in charge of their cows and cattle to herd them out of a field of corn, they then set out on their journey. The three boys thought this a great opportunity to dig for the gold and resolving also to keep a strict watch on their cattle. They made
