So the people were wondering where this man had gone to. The people went in and told the police and they searched, and they could not find him anywhere about.
That happened about three hundred years ago. About ten years ago a man the name of Fox rooted under this stone and they were surprised to find gold and metals eating with rust and also he found a tin box with papers which they took to be pound notes. He sold the gold and he got a lot of money. But the money was not lucky.
All his cattle died, so he was so poor that he had to sell his farm. So after that it got its name "The Grey Stone".
It is to be seen yet in the scrubbery by the road side. The grey-stone is supposed to be very ancient.
