   Shortly afterwards both McInerney and McGann left Knockanean and came to live in Klmaley. The houses soon fell down and only the "cabhail" was left. This cabhail was supposed to be haunted by a dog that used to cry dismally about midnight at times. At other times it howled and through the howling it seemed to be a singing a well known lewd song of the time.

   A fried of mine who lives in Knockanean now, knows where the haunted houses stood but though he often passed there late at night he never saw a dog there and he does not know anybody who did.
