- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)pit called the banked who waters the clay. Two men turning the clay are called middlers. There is a man called the sourer finishing the mortar and the wheeler wheels it to the table. Upstrickers hand the mortar to the moulder. The offbearer takes the bricks to the floor where they are "hacked",i.e. placed in small heaps. When they are dry arches are formed of old bath bricks. The wheeler then wheels the bricks to the catcher who puts them in layers on the arch. The burner shakes colu[?] and small coal between every layer of bricks. He puts turf in the arches and lights the fire. He keeps renewing the turf till it is burning satisfactorily. The fire is kept going until the bricks become hard.
- Bricks were made in Keegan's brickyard long ago. The clay was dug and every kind of stones was picked out of it. It was made into mortar, carried in wheelbarrows to a table. There were five men working at the table, two(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
