- In olden times the food was not as refined as it this in our present time. In years gone by the principle food was Indian meal porridge potatoes and wheaten meal bread.
In olden times people had to work very hard and were much stronger than the people of now adays, which was chiefly due to the strong kind of they used.
In those later years people use tea in large quatities which is supposed to be the cause of so many people being delicate.
The old people only got tea twice a year, at Christmas and at Easter. When the people were eating their meals, they sat at a table on the middle of the floor. When the tables were out of use, they were hung up on the wall with catches.
