  1. Fairy fort.
    There is a fairy -fort in Mr. Corbet's land. The land where this fairy-fort is, is called the Derries.
    This little patch of land is beside a black bush in the middle of the field. It was supposed that a man named Jimmy Kenny saw thee fairies one night, and he walked in among them.
    They shouted "Puck it Jimmy", and he said " How the devil do you all know Jimmy?"
    All the fairies were hurling, and they all wore red caps. They kept talking to Jimmy for a while, then they all disappeared. He got a blow in the eye, with a bush. For a while he was blind, but shortly after, he regained his sight.
