Ar an leathanach seo

  1. Saint Fintan's well at Cromogue was supposed to be conveyed by Saint Fintan in a miraculous manner from Clonenagh to Cromogue. The well at Clonenagh was desecrated by being used for farm purposes. The pool where the original well was, is still there, and is used as drink for cattle. Portion of it, however, is in a tree, nearby, and never goes dry, winter or summer.
    People go there for religious purposes and cures, and generally leave a beads, scapular, or suchlike tied to the tree. A man named Carroll attempted to bore this tree in order to empy the well. He failed and died a short time after, in extreme agony.
    There are several small wells of St. Fintan in a bee line acroos the country from Clonenagh to Cromogue. Those are supposed to have sprung up, either where a drop fell, when the Saint was
