    Straw boys exist still in the west of Ireland, chiefly in Galway and Clare. They bind their legs with straw and go to the house. Each one tries some stunt in order to get some of the refreshments. If they succeed in obtaining this, they depart quietly.
    The sun to shine on the bride is a good omen.If the bride rises from the Altar before her husband she is supposed to live the longer.
