  1. A very severe storm is said to have been in this district in the month of February 1881. It lasted one whole night. A number of trees were thrown during this storm. Many roads were blocked with large trees. The houses were stripped of their roofs. Many lives were lost during the storm.
    A very severe thunder storm is said to have taken place during the month of July 1878. This thunder storm did a great amount of damage. It is thought that a great many cattle lost their lives during this storm. This thunder
