- Hidden TreasureUnder a bush in a field adjoining the Sligo road (on the property of John Supple, Sheegora, Boyle, Co. Roscommon) a treasure is supposed to be hidden. The treasure consists of a crock of gold, supposed to have been buried there by the fairies. Several attempts have been made to unearth it, but each attempt proved unsuccessful. An eel is said to be guarding the treasure. On one occasion a man dreamt, on three nights in succession, of this treasure. He went at night to dig it up, but a voice spoke from the bush: 'You are going the wrong way about it'. (Told by John Connor, Garrow, Boyle, Co. Roscommon.)
