Much buying and selling was carried on in this district in former times. There were not as many shops at that time as there are now.You had not to go to the nearest town to make purchases; everything which you wanted was brought to the door to you by pedlars, hucksters, etc.People used to buy and sell after Mass on Sundays long ago but that is not carried on now. You could purchase anything from a needle to a cart. Money was not always given for things bought.
