One dark night as a man in my district was coming home he had to go along a lonely stretch of road. On the way he saw some eggs and mushrooms which he took up.
All of a sudden he heard the wailing cry of a banshee and he was knocked to the ground. His shoes were of and taken away with the mushrooms and eggs.
As he proceeded down the road he saw his shoes which he put on. As he went home he heard music on all sides. So then he knew the fairies were out because it was the first of the month.
