- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)She washed a lot of clothes before she went home. The next morning one of the neighbours came to the well for spring water but to this person's surprise there was no sign of a well.
The people, to which the well belonged, did not know what to do, as they would have to go some distance for spring water. Before they left the place where the well had disappeared, to their joy they found a spout of spring water coming out of the ground about twenty yards from where the first well was. They opened a well in that place, built a wall round it, and it is there yet.
There was a subterranean passage from the south of Carrina, in Michael Gordan's field. It is going along towards the west coming out near Palmfield school. It is closed on each side now. It was about three feet high and about three feet broad. The men went into it for shelter in the time of raids from the "Black and Tans". They had some of their ammunition hid there too.- Bailitheoir
