  1. People of former times never wore boots until they were fourteen or fifteen years of age. Children at the present time do not wear boots in Summer from May to October. Boots are repaired in the district. There are three cobblers before them. Clogs are worn in the district at the present day. There was untanned leather worn in this district. The water in which the feet are washed in must be well warmed and washing. soda and if a person has a cold the water must be hot and mustard put in it.
