    There was a woman long ago and she had a son eighteen years, who never went out, so they called him "Myles in the Ashes".

They asked him where was he going and he said that he was going for his master's day-book that he forgot las week. When they asked him his master's name they told him that there was no such man and that he had forgotton nothing. "Myles in the Ashes" said. "That will not do me. I must do my master's bidding," and he said "Come now small devil and big devil of ye, let ye walk out before me to prove to him that I was here, and that there was no
