1. A small messenger that leads from house to house and is out at night.
Answer. A path.
2. I went up the road and down the road, and took the road on my back.
Ans. A ladder.
3. A bridge on a lake without a stick or a stone.
Ans. Ice.
4. An old man in the garden and two hundred overcoats on him.
Ans. A head of cabbage.
5. The king of Ireland sent to his sister a bottomless vessel for holding raw meat.
Ans. A ring.
6. Behind the house there is a well, and in the well there is a cup and in the cup there is a 'sup' that everyone must take.
Ans. Death.
7. A small black person with his house on his back.
Ans. A snail.
