    If the sun went down brightly and clearly it is a sign of good weather.
    Red clouds in the west, at sunset, especially if they have a tint of purple is a sign of fine weather.
    A rainbow at night is a sign of fine weather
    Easterly winds bring fine weather.
    A white fog rising from the bogs and moors is a sign of fine weather.
    When the swallows fly high it is a sign of fine weather.
    When the "Gabhairín Rotha" is heard at night it is a sign of fine weather.
