- The Care of the Farm Animals
Almost all the farm animals we have at home have special names.
The cows names are "Dolly" and Bluebell and "Rosie". The horse's name is "Daisy" and the donkey's is "Blackbird"
The sheep or calves have no special names.
When driving the cows to and from the pasture we say "Hurse," "Hurse." and when driving the calves we say "suck" "suck" or when calling them we also say "suck" "suck." This folklore was given to me by my father - James Lough.- Collector
