A number of Dursey Island men, returning by boat from a fish market at Kenmare, went ashore at a place on the S. side of Inbhear Scéine called Dubhras (Dowross) to get a drink. The body (as they thought) of a fox was on the strand so one of the men put it into the boat.
On arrival at Dursey the fox became very much alive as soon as he heard the boat's keel grate on the gravel of lic.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
