    found and there built her church. In her search the saint spent some time in the counties of Limerick Waterford and Kerry in consequence of which a place name - Cill Gobnait is still found in each of those counties. There are also a few wells dedicated to the memory in the places mentioned.
    It is related how the saint found three deer at first - probably in either Limerick or Waterford, then six, very probably in Kerry, although tradition asserts that it was in Cill Gobnait near Clondrohid County Cork. Proceeding again she found the nine white deer in Gortnatubrid in the parish of Ballyvourney an eminence overlooking the Sullane valley and the village of Carrig-an-Adhmuid.
    It was while praying near na Cillini on a hill north of the village just mentioned that the saint, on raising her head beheld the deer browsing peacefully
