The driver was first on the road and his companions, probably to show their good manners more than anything else soon joined him. There, on the parapet of the bridge they looked on one of the prettiest waterfalls in County Cork. From it the Castle takes its name - "The Castle of the Rock of the Waterfall" or Caisleán Carrigannassaig, Salmon leaped in the pool beneath, or in wanton sported in the watery caverns mid the massive crags.
