the clergy found it a difficult task in persuading them that the chapel was the proper place for their devotions on that day.
Before entering on her missionary labours St. Gobnait was warned in a vision by an angel to go and travel and find out a place where she would meet seven deer and there build her cell, and that would be her place of Resurrection.
Obeying his commands, she started on her way without reluctance. Guided by inspiration she found herself in Waterford, two miles from Dungarvan, where she gives the name to the parish Killgobnait. Nothing daunted, she proceeded on her way towards Limerick, where she blessed a pagan well a short distance south of Knockcarron, in Ballycadane parish, not far from Emly. Leaving this she wondered toward Bealathgreen village, four miles west of Bruree where a fair was held on the 11th of February, and also rounds are performed in her honor.
Near by is Cnocan na mBuacailli, where any young man standing on its top is sure to make a prosperous marriage a year hence. Proceeding south toward Co. Cork, St. Gobnait came to the parish of Glounthane, in the townland of Moinmore, where rounds are performed at the present day on the 11th of February.
