There are accounts of people who never wore boots or shoes. There was a poor woman going round the town begging and she never wore a boot or a shoe in summer or winter.
The children at present go barefooted in summer and wear boots in winter.
The water after washing the feet is thrown out. There are no boots made now but they are paired by the people in their own houses.
There are no shoemakers in the district. This has been a tradition in some families in some cases and this is about fifty years ago.
