Ar an leathanach seo
- Potatoes are chiefly sown in Ireland because they are used in every house. The number of acres of potatoes does not vary each year. Nearly every body sows them in drills and in ridges. They are sown in lea land where corn had been sown the previous year. In February the land is ploughed so that the scraw would rot. After about three weeks the same land is cross ploughed. It is usually about a week afterwards it is cultivated and harrowed to make the soil like turf mould. Having this done the drills are opened and the farm yard manure is put out and is spread in the drill(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
