    bellows were made locally or not. The implements were a tongs, pincers, anvil, hammer, bellows, and a tub of water for cooling the iron.
    Their work consisted of the shoeing of horses and donkeys - which was done in the open air when the weather permitted, - making of timber plough and other partaining parts. They made and repaired Harrows, made spades, pikes, axes and grafáns. They were always looked upon as and very loquacious gentlemen and their work-shop was a centre of story-telling for miles around.
