I am living in the townland of Knockroe in the parish of Kilcoe, and in the Barony of the West Division of West Carbery. There are fourteen families in the townland of Knockroe, and there are fifty-seven people. (people) Sweeny is the most comon name. The houses are slated, and the land is hilly. There are two people over seventy and one of them is able to speak Irish. The one that can not speak Irish has the following address.
