- There were two men Ahern and O Driscoll bird killing one night in Kilcaskan, near Ballineen. They went into an old orchard. They had a lantern and its light shone on a small man. Ahern thought it was a Leprechaun and he wanted to catch him for his gold. When he went towards him, the man spat and grinned at him. James Driscoll pulled him back. They stopped watching this strange looking man, then he disappeared. Several others saw this little man, in the same place.
